Since it's midnight on the eve of your next month birthday and now blogger won't let me type the letter "f" unless I hit the key about 5 times ( random!) this post will probably be limited to mostly pictures over text!
You LOVE getting your diaper changed and talk and coo and smile the whole time! I never thought changing a diaper could be so much fun! It's one of my favorite times of the day!
still not sure about what will happen with your hair. it is slowly starting to thin out. . . for blond hair to come in, i wonder???

thought i'd put you in your christmas outfit for this month, the outfit that got you to be called a girl on numerous occasions . . : ) maybe it's the collar? oh well, i thought it was pretty boyish myself!
the week you turned 2 months, you got your first cold, and this is where you lived, in your little
humidifier swing tent! i think it really helped you! you being sick that month really took me by surprise, it was a fear of mine that you would get sick, and when it really happened, i couldn't believe it, you were so young! but wouldn't you know, even with that suction bulb and all that snottiness and coughing to you, you still had a smile on your face, even when i was USING the suction bulb! your cheerfullness sure inpsires me when i am weary, worried and sleep deprived! look at you, already teaching mommy something!
during that 2nd month, we sure were excited to meet your friend james, who would be born later on that month! here we are celebrating val ( james' mommy) with some of my favorite mommy friends! you were excited to hang out with your friend cade too!
this is what you thought of your playmat during your 2nd month, but, it would not the the case next month!
your sister and i love carting you around with us, she thinks it is so much fun to ride with you too!
you met helen, wittens precious little sister! witten and bekah had a good heart to heart about what it means to be a good big sister/brother that afternoon:
this was during your first month, but for documentations' sake, i'm including it. i took you to lufkin with me when you were only 3 1/2 weeks old! forgoing miss hayley's big shower/engagement party weekend was not an option! you were a great traveling buddy!
the grandparents had to eventually go home that 2nd month, after you arrived : ), so that is when all our super friends stepped up and helped us out! some, wanted to take your sister to the park, so we could have some time together, and so she could play with her friends! all the support sure helped me have the energy to do my best as your mommy!

and speaking of help, you know what those wonderful warminski's did, when they heard that you were born and that daddy would be out of town alot? they came to stay with us and help out! they gave you lots of lovin, let mommy sleep in, cooked for us, went grocery shopping for us, took bekah to the park, even took newborn pictures of you! ( more of those in a minute!)

you like your swing, but not as much as bekah, you would rather be on the ground, kicking your legs and moving your arms!
uncle jeff and aunt rani celebrated their first wedding anniversary : )
bekah really couldn't be any sweeter to you. she just loves you and it really upset her when you got sick because it meant that she couldnt kiss and hug you!
and with a face like that, how could she stay away??? : )
and for grandparents who live in another city, you sure get to see them alot! it's wonderful and i am so grateful! they make such an effort to see you sweet boy because you are sooo special to them!
you had your sip and see right after you turned 1 month and it was a wonderful way to help the special people in SA meet you! here are some of your (2nd and 3rd) cousins who came to meet you the day before:

And you know, all the attention you get just feels like attention for your big sister! she loves that you share it all with her! : ) i do think that she gets a little sad that i don't give her all my attention anymore, but you are doing a good job of helping her understand how to share mommy, what a valuable lesson you are teaching her benjamin!

You enjoy sleeping like sister did, but you are so much stronger than her, we have to use the miracle blanket to keep you from breaking out of it, at a much earlier age than her!
you also need some "extra" help falling asleep, unlike she did, by using the passy. it often times falls out too, making the "falling asleep" process a very LONG one. i know it is temporary though! you will soon get the hang of it! in bekah's defense, it sure made your daddy and i realized what a ROCK STAR sleeper she was! that's okay, we all have our specia stregnths!
speaking of stregnth, by the end of your 2nd month, you are standing on our laps, while leaning on us, it's so funny to see you hold yourself up! and boydo you like it!
as i said, sister loves you very much! she is always saying "oh he is soooo cute mama!"
and wants to kiss you all over! i have never heard her say a mean thing to you, it really was love at first sight!
not only have you taught her about sharing mommy, mommy uses you for positive peer pressure, if she won't obey, i then say something like "oh benjamin, isn't that sad? bekah won't clean up her toys!" and then, if he thinks that YOU are dissapointed in her, she changes her mind and obeys! it is quite magical and i really appreciate your positive influence! she knows that she needs to be a good example for you and she really is!
you love to watch your big sister and when you smile at her, i know it melts her heart, the way it melts mine! you have brought so much joy into our household!
You sure are an expressive, happy little boy! Bekah was a bit more serious and getting a smile out of her was hard work! Maybe you smile more because you have her around, who knows, but man, you sure know how to light up a room in our house! You smile ALL the time and i just can't get enough!
