8 Months

Dear Benjamin,
Happy 8 Months! Even though we are up to our elbows right now in boxes, do you know what a treat it is for mommy to just sit and think about you and the blessing that you are? Having a blog is just "one more thing to do," but at the same time, it makes me calm, just to write this, taking a moment to think about YOU and only you! Lately, with all that we have had going on, you have been sharing your mommy with everything and everyone!

Oh wow, I wrote SO much good stuff on this post, and nothing saved but the first paragraph!
Grrr Blogger!
Okay, well, because I am SO way behind on posts, and because it is already documented in your baby book, I will be short and sweet, pictures speak a 1000 words, right??
After all, this is your 8 month post and you just turned 9 months!

This month you got your two bottom teeth in, and you let us know it!

You also let us know things by "talking" you now saw, "ba-ba!" and "wa-wa!" your first constanants! It makes you sound like you really have a voice when it's not just vowels anymore! Bekah even heard you make those new sounds, and said, "listen mama, he is talking now!" : )

You are still not as interested in sleeping as your sister was, but this month, you try to sleep from 7 to 6ish, with a few passy replacements throughout the night, some nights, you don't need our help at all!
You take 3 naps a day, and nurse 5 times a day.
Last time to nurse you is about 6:30, but then, I give you a 4-6 oz bottle afterwards to top you off, by the end of the day, you need more than what I have to offer!

This month, we met one of your lifelong buds, Mr. Connor!
Such good friends are y'all , you are wearing, matching outfits already!
Teehee!

It was SO awesome spending time with the Seamans that weekend! We felt so special, that they gave us their time and that we were able to meet precious Connor!

Y'all had a great time, "hanging out!" : )

Connor is one BIG bundle of joy, that's for sure!

ANd your sister had such a sweet time with her friend Ava!
They bonded over princesses and art : ).

After Ava left, Bekah couldn't stop talking about her and how much she wanted to see her, I am sure you felt the same way about Connor, Daddy and I were feeling similarly about Mr. Mikey and Mrs. Vaughanie : ).
Though we did NOT get hysterical when we woke up from our nap to only find out that they were gone, like some big sisters we know : ).
Sweet girl, she loves Ava! And we do too!

Matching outfits, yes, but favorite sleeping position is NOT a similarity! Already, Connor wants to be on his belly, YOU on the other hand, if you find yourself on your belly, you scream and cry until we come in to flip you over!
Can you flip yourself over on your own  during the daytime, you ask? Why of course, but it just doesn't happen at night!

What a joy it was to meet this boy we had been praying for for so long!

We upped the anty, in the eating department by letting Ms. Robyn feed you puffs for the first time! Of course, mommy was nervous, not being sure if you were ready or not, but since Mrs. Robyn was pretty much there for every one of your sister's "firsts" ( namely if they were sweets, icecream, brownines, lolipops, popsicles, puffs and even peanut butter!) we thought she should do the honors again!

You of course, liked them and have loved them ever since!
Thanks Mrs. Robyn, what is Benjamin going to do without you to show him the way in all things baked and sweet????

You sure like food Mr. Benjamin! Zuchini, all fruits, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, and now, Puffs!  You really do eat ALOT! Teehee, you might just have the appetite of your daddy and not many people can say that! Oh, wouldn't daddy be proud?? : )
Oh and thank you so much for being so patient in your high chair, you can sit there for a long time, playing with toys, so mommy can cook or prepare your food! You remind me of our dear friend Evie who used to do that too and it just boggled my mind because your sister was not one to just "hang out" in her high chair! : )
Putting the chef hat on was your sister's idea. She really likes to dress up and you get "caught in the line of fire" quite often. The day where I find you in princess gear, headbands and sparkels is upon us I am sure!

Due to the big move looming in the future, we have had lots of visitors, and what a great big help they have been, but more importantly, they are "getting in their time" with you!

Here are some special caregivers I want you to know about from your brief : ( Houston life:

Love you Rani and Jeff, our Houston family members,

And Grandpa and May May, who visited so much, it felt like they were living there sometimes, they are the best! : )
( Bekah took this pic, she did pretty well!)

At BSF- bible study fellowship
Teehee, this pic makes me giggle, you do NOT look happy! But you really always were, it's just because you saw me and wanted to go to me, but I wanted to take your pic first!
BSF was such a big part of our lives this year, and these ladies loved you dear boy, what a blessing it was to us,  for them to pray for you, daily!

And I have to capture you with two other wonderful ladies who sure did love you,
Rosie:
and Dee.

I will forever be grateful to these sweet and loving ladies for helping me to be a better mommy, by offering me support and for caring for my home and family.
They really were an answer to prayer : ).

I celebrated my first mother's day as your mommy and what an amazing feeling it was to be sitting there with MY role model, my selfless and sweet as can be mommy, and my TWO healthy children!
(haha, they look so excited, don't they?)

It really was a crazy month, we went out of town alot. One weekend, it was for my cousin Kath's MBA graduation!
But we wouldn't have missed it for anything!
We were honored to share that day with her and we are so proud of you Aunt Katherine!

Pammie Pie put on such a lovely party for Kath!

Bekah had a great time at the party and her life was changed forever, after she got to see fireworks for the first time, light up the Austin sky! I have to say, us Longhorns know how to graduate, I could go to that spectacular graduation ever year if I could!
Ever since that night, the quiestion, "Have you ever seen fireworks before?" Has been asked to everyone and anyone who Bekah talks to. It was so cute! It would always catch people off guard, because many times it was a stranger, teehee! : ) Really, it was a life changing moment for Bekah, seeing those fireworks! She talks about them ALL the time!

Bekah was loving Kath's party shoes!
Always one to notice what people are wearing these days!

Despite the traveling, we still had time to work developmental things, and sitting up was one of them. You still fall over from time to time, hence the cushion of pillows behind you!

And you had time to catch up on some "light reading." It's funny, we will set a box of toys in front of you and a box of books, and you always go for the box of books!
Makes mommy and daddy proud!

You made your debut at the pool and though you did not love it like your sister, you were cool with it!

You just didn't like that hat of yours, sorry, mama is not going to budge on that one!

We took you to your first circus , and sported the double stroller, once again, I really love that thing!

When we were in town for the graduation, we got to meet another one of your buds, sweet Jacob! Another "lifetime bud" and prayed for little one, I was so excited to get to hold him at last!

He is the 5th member of Team Isaacson, and what a team they are! Cassie and Travis are doing such a wonderful job with their so stinkin cute kiddos, those kids are so fortunate to be in such a fun and loving family!

Here is a pic of big brother Alex, he sure was sweet to you, you can tell he is an "experienced" big brother! Wish I would have gotten a pic of that lovely Ellie!

Wow, that was not short and sweet, was it?? How can I be with you, there is so much to love about you Benjamin! Your smile is contagious, your laugh is one of my favorite things to hear, and I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you!
Love,
Mama
