Bekah's 5th month of life sure has been eventful and fun!
We have traveled, teethed, played, laughed and a have done lots of growing!

Bekah weighs 14.7 lbs
Here is another Bekah's Bunny Pic, appropriate for this month, for she puts everything in her mouth now due to her teething.
It's amazing now to think that she really can "play." So I captured this milestone with the bunny and her teething rings that she loves so much. Playing with these have helped her to learn how to sit up. She can sit up on her own for a pretty long time now, mostly only if she is concentrating on something, like a toy.
Here she is working on sitting up:
And this was pretty cool because she didn't even have a toy to grasp and got the hang of sitting up on her own! I love how her little bum is sticking out in this pic : ).
I also had to get a pic of Charlie and Bekah for this month because Charlie really is Bekah's new favorite thing, even though it doesn't look it in this pic! (that's why she is wearing her Charlie onsie, as a tribute to her BFF and also because she is about to outgrow it!)
Whenever he is in the room, she is watching him and when he gets close, she outstretches her arms and opens her mouth real wide, like she is ready for a kiss and a hug!
Which leads me to my new favorite thing in the whole wide world, her laughter! Now, I haven't been able to capture it on film yet, but it's the most beautiful sound in the world to me and a sure way to hear it, is, to get Charlie close to Bekah! It has worked like a charm this past week and it just makes me love Charlie even more, teehee, if that is possible!
So Bekah these days, has been playing with her best friend Charlie,
she also plays in her exersaucer . . .
with that cute baby in the mirror . . . .
with mommy in the kitchen ( i love how she is turning into my little buddy, doing everything that i do!) . . . .
with anything she can get her hands on, like mom's cell phone ( gosh, when she grabbed for it for the first time, I felt like such a mom because all of my other mommy friends always talk about how much their children like to play with their phones!) . . .
. . . and dressing up is still one of mommy's favorite ways to play (here she is wearing smocked shoes! i never knew such a precious thing exisited! oh and that bow on her head, well, i think it is cute, daddy thinks it is random and funny looking! it's a specical clip that claims to work on babies who are "challenged in the hair department," like Miss Bekah) . . .
Barrett, Bekah and Evie. Hunter is not pictured here, but will definately be in some pics in the future, they are going to be great buds, if not something more ???? : )
And now for the most prominent part of this month, her teething! Oh my, I had no idea that we were in store for such a challenging 3 weeks! It all started at the ranch, when she was not sleeping through the night anymore. It wasn't for another few days did we realize she was teething and that was the problem, poor baby! So, after 3 weeks of sleepless nights, lots of extra nursing and TLC, some tylanol, frozen teethers, calls to friends and moms/mother in laws for advice, look what we found last Sunday morning . . .
TWO NEW TEETH!
Tada!!
( I can't believe I got it on camera! Do you see those two little white spots on her lower jaw?)
So, now that her teeth have "broken ground" and she is recovering from her cold,
we are going to work real hard to get back to a schedule, just last night
she slept the whole night through for the first time in a while. . .
which was encouraging!
But all in all, this teething experience really was a bonding experience more than anything, it was sweet, spending so much time loving on her and even though I know it will soon come again, at least next time I will have more of an understanding of what to do and how to help her.
Oh, and Bekah even had friends come over on her 5 month birthday, Evie and Kristin!
Thanks for coming over to play and for making her day fun!
