Two weekends ago, we went to Austin for my cousin Ryan's wedding. In order to get there in time for the rehearsal, Bekah and I had to fly there by ourselves because Daddy wouldn't be getting off work until atleast 7 that night! Although we have flown with her before, the idea of flying by myself with her made me so nervous I just wanted to cry! I know, it was just a 45 minute flight but it was all so uncertain as to how she would do at this age and how her ears would be. To anyone who has to travel on their own, advice to you would be, take only ONE bag on the plane with your child, the less stuff to keep track of, the better! We checked everything else ( one suitcase, and did you know that a pack and play and a carseat act as ONE piece of luggage? Yay for southwest!)
Now, she did end up falling asleep on my lap and at the time I thought it was an awesome answer to prayer, but turns out she ended up running a low grade fever that night, so I think it was the beginning of a little virus. Sorry Bekah, maybe mommy shouldn't have prayed for that nice of a plane flight, teehee!

When we got there, Kath and her boyfriend Ben were there to pick us up and take us to lunch at where else than the wonderful Whole Foods on Lamar! And yes, that is Ben pushing Bekah's stroller with Dollie inside! By that point in the day, all Bekah wanted was to be held and the next thing Ben knew, Kath was holding Bekah, I was pushing the shopping cart ( had to get that whole milk for Bekah) and he ended up unknowingly pushing the stroller with a doll in it! When he asked another employee where the Tylenol was ( and wouldn't you know, Whole Foods does not carry any kind of non herbal medicine!) the employee said, "who is it for, your doll??" Teehee, Ben is just doing his part to help "Keep Austin Weird!"

Bekah certainly enjoyed the Oasis, an Austin Landmark!
Grandpa and Igor with Bekah at about 10:00 at night, the time she FINALLY fell asleep in Grandpa's arms! She was such a trooper, not feeling well and staying up so late!
We stayed at Pam's house and before we headed out for the morning wedding service, Zack couldn't help but get his hands on that grand piano of theirs, poor guy doesn't exactly have all the time in the world to play music like he used to.

Ben and my mom with her twin sister, Susie! She flew in all the way from Minnesota for the wedding : ). Bekah was very excited to meet her!
Zack and Jeff were the handsome ushers:

Bekah with her fun and sweet Aunt Rani:
And look, here is Zack's little girl, on the piano herself! She really does enjoy it and I still keeping my fingers crossed that she gets her daddy's talents!

While I was enjoying a nice break and watching Allegra and Ryan get married, baby free,

Here she is saying, "so big!" She felt like such a big girl, being the only child there.

It was fun for the future "May's" to see Ryan and Allegra get married, knowing they would be next in November!

Family : )
Being a bit under the weather, I was pretty surprised with how well Bekah did with no nap and a dependence on the ( CVS bought) generic tylanol that was keeping her feeling okay. Lunch went well thanks to that fascinating wine glass full of ice cold water! She played with it for a whole meal!

Family : )
Once lunch was over, she had the random peacock to chase and gawk at, keeping her happy for a good long while!

And then, there is always grandpa who is all to ready at the drop of a dime to play with Bekah and keep her entertained!
