Bekah was a busy bee her 6th week of life (she'll be 7 weeks tomorrow!). Busy Bee is a good phrase for her because her daddy likes to call her Bekah Bumblebee : ).
Here is what she was up to:
She went to meet her tiny friend Emerson, looks like they hit it off, huh? Bekah looks so concerned about her friend's feelings!! Congrats Mindy on your new beautiful little girl!
She had to get in another good wear of her tutu, it's getting tighter and tighter these days!
Then it was off to Alex's 1st birthday party! Cassie did such an awesome job planning it, everyone had so much fun, especially the birthday boy, just look at him! So cute!
Her Auntie Cathy made it to the party and Bekah got to meet that pretty bride to be!!
Now, sweet Kristen gave her a bottle at the party, and you know what Bekah did to thank her?
Have a diaper blowout of course! Sorry about the dress Kristen!
And so, we had to change her clothes, but look, my "change of clothes" that I had put in her diaper bag when she was first born, that she has obviousley never used, was too small! Do you see how I put her legs in, but when I zipped her up, the sleeves wouldn't even fit over her shoulders???It wasn't until then that I realized how big my baby girl is getting! Thanks Cassie for the extra onsie!
Cassie's sister, the one and only Dr. Chowdry!
Alex was so cute while we sang to him, so wide eyed with all that attention on him!
(Leigh and Jean, Christy and Kara and me with Bekah, oops, sorry about not holding your neck up Bekah!)
Kate decided she wanted a solo picture and this is the pose she gave Zack.

Kara was quite the social butterfly, catching up with her old pal Bekah,
And meeting her new friend, Jean
And for the "beyond" business. Here is Zack with h Bekah at my OBGYN 6th week appointment.
We had to wait an HOUR before he could see me, and so daddy invented what we call "the daddy swing". It is a high-powered-intensley-difficult-for-mommy-to-excute-swing that puts her to sleep every time! He swings her so high sometimes I can't look! But, she's strapped in, and she loves it! This is what we have to do now before she gets into the car because unlike most children, she does NOT like to be in that carseat!
Bekah is up to so much these days, smiling, following objects with her eyes, like mommy walking the room, she even accidentally rolled over during tummy time the other night! The other day, she found her hands and fingers:
I keep trying to capture her smile on camera, so close!
She loves sitting this way in her boppy and really where we see her smiling the most, besides when we are holding her of course!

We noticed that whenever she is soothed or really peaceful, she brings her hands up to her cheek, isn't that precious??

to the layman, this appears to be a way to calm a crying baby.
however, a man of perception would clearly identify that Zack has creatively worked in such activities into his manimal training regimen for this summer's events of feat and strength.
She is so pretty and sweet...I love her so much! :) I'm a bit obsessed and can't wait to see her again soon! :) I am SO happy that you guys will be in Houston with us soon - YAY!
